The App may process the following categories of information:
- Microphone input (on-device): used to estimate ambient sound levels in decibels.
- Usage settings: alert preferences and threshold values stored on your device.
- Diagnostic data: crash or performance data provided by Apple, if enabled on your device settings.
2. Microphone and Audio Data
Sonic Guardian requests microphone access to measure sound intensity. The App is designed to process audio signals locally on your device to compute decibel estimates.
Sonic Guardian does not require creating an account and does not intentionally upload raw microphone recordings to our servers.
3. Data Storage
App settings (such as notification preferences and threshold level) are stored locally on your device. If future versions add cloud sync or export, this policy will be updated before those features are broadly released.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for advertising. Limited technical information may be processed by Apple as part of App Store distribution and platform services.
5. Legal Bases and Your Rights
Where applicable, our legal basis is your consent (for permissions), legitimate interests (app safety and reliability), and compliance with legal obligations.

Sonic Guardian is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
